SPHRi® Eligibility or Who Should Attend to Sit this Certification

The Candidate should be a current active HR Practitioner and  Must meet one of the following exam eligibility requirements to sit for the SPHRi exam


Requirements to sit for the SPHRi exam 

* Have at least four years of experience in a professional-levelHR position + a master’s degree or global equivalent,
* Have at least five years of experience in a professional-level HRposition + a bachelor’s degree or global equivalent, OR
* a minimum of seven years of experience in a professional-levelHR position + a high school diploma or global equivalent.

CHRP Dorcas Wainaina
(OGW)

CHRP Dorcas Wainaina (OGW) is the Executive Director of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya, a State Agency established under the Human Resource Management Professionals (HRMP) Act of 2012 to regulate the HR profession in Kenya.
She is an accomplished Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP-K) with years of experience across the globe focusing on People Management, HR strategy formulation & implementation, employee training & development and change management. She served in Private Sector mainly in the Relief and International

Development sector before transitioning into the Public Sector.

CHRP Wainaina holds an MBA in Business Administration (HRM) from Kenyatta University, a Bachelor of Education Degree (Linguistics and Literature) from the University of Nairobi (UoN), a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management from the College of Human Resource Management (CHRM) and is currently finalizing her PhD in HRM at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).
As the Executive Director IHRM she has provided overall strategic leadership and direction for the Institute driving the realization of IHRM strategic goals, growing membership from 6,500 to 17,000 in less than 3 years and successful Operationalization of the HRMP Act. This has fostered productive engagements with stakeholders including Ministries, Government Corporations, State Agencies and Constitutional Commissions. 
CHRP Wainaina has participated in several policy formulation and recruitment panels including the Recruitment of the Vice-Chairperson and Commissioners of the Public Service Commission in October 2018. In recognition of her distinguished service and contribution, she was awarded the Order of Grand Warrior (OGW).
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management (AAPM), serves in the Board of Honorary Advisors for Global Academy of Finance Management (GAFM); she is a Certified Chartered HR Analyst (CHRA) and an excellent trainer. 

Jean de Dieu Mirukiro,
MBA,SPHRi, PHRi, HRCI, SME, CHRMA

Jean de Dieu Mirukiro is a HR Practitioner. He holds an MBA, Human Resource Management as well as a good number of certifications among others Chartered HR Metrics and Data Analytics (CHRMA); Certified Professional in Human Resource International (PHRi); Certified Senior Professional in Human Resource International (SPHRi)Talent Optimization Certified Leader and Talent Optimization Consultant as well as many more.
Currently, he serves as Talent Acquisition and Development Manager, University of Global Health Equity.
He has background in academia where he served as Lecturer and Head of Department at the University of Rwanda. Following a change in his career goals, he switched from academia to HR Practitioner.
He worked as a Human Resource Management policy Specialist, Ministry of Public Service and Labour in Rwanda; HR Business Partner and founding Head, HR Department at Britam Insurance Company Rwanda Ltd.
He developed a good number of HR policies, strategies and frameworks as well as creative & innovative Talent Management Programs. He made presentations on different topics locally and Globally. He is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) as well as a Member of the American Academy of Project Management.
